Testimonials For Our Holbrook Child Care

Take a look at what parents and families have to say about Precious Lambs

We needed an aftercare program for our son who was 3 at the time. We required a place that was clean, warm, welcoming, and had caring and professional staff. Additionally, our son has special needs and we were concerned that various programs would not be able to provide the care that he needed. Mrs. Marjorie Mallard and her staff exceeded our expectations. They offer outside time every day for kids, weather permitting. They have a lot of art supplies, books, and toys. There are always fun and educational activities. The facility is spotless. The quality of care our son receives is like from an extended family. The Director is incredible and is often in the room with the children. The prices are the best that we have seen. We feel that our son is safe, secure, treasured, and loved. ~Lisa Z

When my only son turned three and was not communicating with words I knew it was time to enroll him in a place where he would not only learn but also be surrounded with children his own age. I visited many facilities on Long island but when I met Mrs. Marjorie at Precious Lambs, I knew it was the right fit. It was the most emotional thing I have ever had to do, but six months later my son was able to speak in full sentences and socializes well with children his own age. He comes home from school with homework and can currently spell his name. Mrs. Marjorie and her staff care for my son like he is their own. Comforting him when needed but disciplining him at the same time. I am extremely grateful for the time they spend teaching him educational topics but life lessons as well. I couldn’t be happier with my choice of Precious Lambs. ~Jessica B

Jasmine has always been cared for in a loving manner. Precious Lambs puts the needs of their children first. Jasmine’s love of learning has been nurtured at Precious Lambs. She is starting kindergarten next month knowing her letters, numbers, colors, how to write her name- even beginning addition and sight words. ~Rebecca T

I am a parent of a 3 yr. old son who loves getting up and going to Precious Lambs. Never before has my son looked forward to going to pre-school/daycare until I found Precious Lambs. Precious Lambs has exceeded my expectations and I must say that I can testify that their mission statement on their website is true. While interviewing other local preschools none of them had the curriculum and core values like Precious Lambs. The school is very clean and immaculate which is a big plus to me. Also I have to mention that it never has that daycare smell that I have come across in prior settings. The class has a small ratio where my son can receive one on one attention with his teacher when it comes to learning. Precious lambs academic learning program is like no other local preschool! I think it’s awesome that they start the children off learning to trace and write at the age of 2 yrs. old with the help of guidance, now a day with school districts and their budget cuts I think it’s truly essential the earlier you start children the better off they are before attending kindergarten. I must mention every day we are greeted with a big hello and smiles when we walk in and all staff members know the name of the child. You can never tell when someone is having a bad day there. There open line of communication is the best. Every day either I receive a notebook in his note or I am informed personally about my sons’ day and I never ask, I am always told. They also give you a print out of the calendar each month which informs you of the agenda every day in what my son will be doing and learning for each day of the week and they abide by it. I know my son really enjoys going to school here and once in a while he doesn’t want to come to home because it’s fun. It’s amazing of all the things he has learned and how the school helps fine tune and works on fine, gross, and sensory motor skills in a fun environment. That means a lot to me. In closing, I would highly recommend Precious Lambs. ~Kelly A

Mrs. Mallard and the teachers not only provide excellent care but also an educational curriculum which allowed our daughter Kiara to enter kindergarten with reading and math skills. Since then she has constantly been at the top of her class. The intellectual, social and emotional skills she learned at a young age have made her into an amazing person. This is why our son Kendrick was also enrolled there. We want the best for our children and there in no place better. Seeing how organized and attentive to detail Mrs. Mallard is showed us that this place is not only an excellent place for our children, but for us too. Her record keeping and flow of information back to us kept us involved and up to date with our children’s needs and growth. The facility is clean, organized and provides ample space for all of the children. Not only to play but to learn as well. Precious Lambs is what a daycare should be; safe, clean, organized, and LOVING. When you have to decide who will care for the most important part of your life, your kids, you demand the best. Precious Lambs is that and more. It is an extension of our family. ~Christopher and Sandra J

It is with great honor that I recommend Ms. Marjorie, owner and CEO, of Precious Lambs Day School to partake actively in furthering the education of her staff and development group. I have had the opportunity to visit this excellent school and daycare facility on several occasions and each time the premises was extremely clean and well organized. Ms. Marjorie is one of the few Long Island Day Care Facilities that seeks and strives to produce high functioning and well educated students to fulfill the Common Core Skills of New York. I am happy to say that Ms. Marjorie has played a huge, positive performance in two of the most important people on Long Island, my beautiful twin grandsons. Ms. Marjorie has high expectations and sets higher goals for her staff and young children. As an educator myself of over 30 years, hats off to one of the FINEST ladies of Long Island! ~Lana C

I am writing this referral letter on behalf of Marjorie Mallard of Precious Lambs Early Childhood and Child Care Center. I first met Marjorie in 2012 when my son Daniel was in need of a day care facility. Our first impression was that Marjorie was well educated, passionate and dedicated to helping families make the best possible selection to place their loved one in the right hands. Marjorie continued to impress us while Daniel started in her facility with her hands on leadership and vision for excellence. Any moment that my wife or I had a concern that we wanted to raise, Marjorie was already proactive and addressing that very subject. If it was something we needed, she listened attentively with the intent to understand our concern first then seeking to implement a successful resolution. ~Daniel and Maria B

I want to thank Marjorie and the Precious Lambs teachers and staff for taking such great care of my son from the beginning.  Benjamin started with them at 2 ½ years old, during the first meeting Marjorie had said to me by the time he leaves he will be reading, writing and ready for Kindergarten. I thought to myself that is very ambitious let’s see what happens.  Well today is my son’s last day at precious lambs as he gets ready to embark on his new journey into Kindergarten and wouldn’t you know it he is reading and writing and more prepared for school then I could have ever imagined or done myself.  The staff at Precious Lambs didn’t just prepare my child for Kindergarten they loved and nurtured him and gave him a safe environment to do it in.  There was never a day that went by that I questioned if they had my kid’s best interest in mind I knew they did.   So again, I just want to say Thank you for all that you have done and will continue to do for the children that you will Teach, Love and Nurture.  ~Jennifer F

When I was searching for a Pre-K program for my son Nicholas, I was looking for a preschool with a nurturing environment that also fostered a love for school. That–and more–is exactly what I found at Precious Lambs. I have honestly never experienced a more caring, warm, dedicated and friendly director than Mrs. Marjorie. She really cares about the well-being of the children by treating them as if they were her own. The minute I met her, I knew she was going to take excellent care of my child. There wasn’t a doubt in my mind that my child wouldn’t be safe and happy in her care! Nicholas started Pre-K at Precious Lambs in March, which was halfway through the school year. He was no stranger to daycare or preschool, but still…. this was Pre-K. I knew there would be more of a proper curriculum than what he had been accustomed to at other schools. And I’ll admit, when he started bringing wonderful Precious Lambs was for my child. He’s in kindergarten now, and he’s doing amazingly well. And I attribute that to Mrs. Marjorie, Miss Trina and the rest of the wonderful staff at Precious Lambs!  ~Rachelle M

I am and have been happy with the services PLDC offers to my child. The staff is always helpful and I have never felt that m child, or any other child, was in danger or neglected while in their care. In fact, Miss B (Beatrice) and Mimi (Marjorie) have always been kind and loving to the children. My kid enjoys going to daycare and comes home excited about the activities, songs, and happenings of the day. When I leave in the morning and return each afternoon I truly get the feeling that my kid is not just taken care of, but loved and cherished.~Elitia, L

Our youngest son, Cameron, spent between 2 and 3 years attending The Precious Lamb. We were referred to Precious Lambs by representatives of the Patchogue-Medford School District because Cameron had difficulties in previous day care environments. Marjorie Mallard assured us that she could provide quality DAY CARE FOR Cameron is spite of his prior difficulties. We were extremely pleased to see that Ms. Mallard was correct. Precious Lambs provided excellent day care services for Cameron, and we saw first-hand that he was in a nurturing environment. We were so pleased that even after Cameron graduated, we often requested Mrs. Mallard look after him when we did not have a care giver. We have unequivocal support for her and her day care. We thank God for our opportunity to have had Cameron attend Precious Lambs and we would not change anything about that experience. It is our view that Precious lambs provides a very valuable service to our community.~Maurice and Lisa C

Aside from all of the activities and interaction during the day, Marjorie goes above and beyond to create a sense of community among the parents. In December my husband and I, along with over twenty other parents and staff members attended a holiday dinner hosted by Marjorie and her husband Ricky. They also host a special family day each year. Parents and grandparents are invited to spend a few hours with the staff and the children. There is food, arts & crafts, activities, and lots of pictures. Events like these foster a sense of community and family that I know through many conversations is very important to Marjorie. It also allows the parents to connect and get to know one another. I do not know of any other daycare that does these things. To conclude, I feel Precious Lambs Daycare is a safe and nurturing place. I would not leave my only child there if I did not believe in Marjorie or the staff.~Jessica S

We have referred several families to Precious Lambs and each family that we have met along with those we have referred all has had positive feedback and stories of success. Marjorie ensures her curriculum is set up to be forward thinking and preparing each child for what is to come before it even arrives. These results are able to be achieved through an effective strategy and careful planning with a solid vision. With our second child and 19 month old son Jonah, my wife and I look forward to the day he will start in the care of Marjorie and her staff. Marjorie has a passion for instilling a nurturing environment by coaching and mentoring her staff hands on. This separates her from her competition by ensuring the families that trust her with their loved ones receive nothing but the best and she will not settle for anything less. We have witnessed on many occasions Marjorie and her team working nights, weekends and doing everything in their power to continue to offer families a premier learning center with the highest level of service. I strongly recommend Marjorie and Precious Lambs and I personally look forward to working with her and her staff for years to come with our second child.~Daniel and Maria B
