To ensure these standards, I work hard to hire qualified staff that have a passion and fervor to impact her lives of children in the field of Early Childhood Education. When searching for prospective team members, I go way beyond the expectations of the NYS Regulations to employ and embody individuals who can team up with my mission for the program, and to reach those that are also intrigued with exploring new opportunities for your little ones.

Member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the National Association for Family Child Care, and the Child Care Council of Suffolk, also seeking NAEYC Accreditation.
I have been working as an Early Childhood Educator for the past 16 years. Having started in the field opening and operating my first Family Day Care in my home, solely out the desires of a mother’s heart. Since then I have owned and operated multiple Group Day Cares caring for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. As an Early Childhood Educator, I am driven by my passion and dedication to creating an atmosphere for children that is: Nurturing, Loving, Fun, Supportive and Educational.
Having raised three children of my own while setting the standards high for thier achievement, I was always of the belief that children are intrigued with exploring new opportunities in life. As naturally curious beings, children are willing to learn, as long as they are afforded the right tools and resources to help spark their flames, while building thier self esteem for achievement. ~~This is the Mission of Precious Lambs.
Too many children get lost in the vicious cycle when entering elementary school, and without the right foundation, mentors, and support system, their academic achievement could very easily fall to the wayside. So my mission here at Precious Lambs is to help our little ones develop and grow while we build a strong foundation and lend the support system necessary for a child’s success. My Early Learning Center is not only a school that services the educational needs of children, but one that focuses on the whole child, while building the unique values of each individual child. Additionally, offering love, support, and mentoring to children and families.

I’m often asked what lead me to be an Early Childhood Educator. It’s the children. It’s the families. It’s the staff. I have had many wonderful experiences in my chosen career. I had my first teaching job at a NYC day care center before I graduated college in 1986. I was so excited but also a little apprehensive. A class of my own? What do I do? I learned a lot that first year teaching 18 three year olds and supervising my teaching team. I was fortunate to move up to lead teacher of 25 kindergarten children for the next several years ending my career in NYC as the center director.
I have been a Day Care Center Director managing a program for over 100 children and 30 staff, an Educational Director where I focused on curriculum development and teacher training and prior to coming to Precious Lambs, a teacher of 3 year olds where I developed a curriculum that encompassed the whole child focusing on the independent needs of each child.
Precious Lambs Background:
I joined the Precious Lambs family in December 2012 when Marjorie first opened its’ doors. Having never been a part of the development and growth from the ground up – I was intrigued on how I could be a part of the vision Marjorie had.
